About The Author
Maria Rodriguez is a community college English instructor at Central Arizona College and teaches English, Reading, and Literature full time. She has over 15 years of teaching experience. She earned her B.A. degree from Arizona State University in English Education in 2005 and a M.A. in English from Northern Arizona University 2012. She is currently a graduate student in the Rhetoric, Writing, and Digital Studies Program at Northern Arizona University. Her passions for teaching include social justice issues, African American Literature, and Young Adult Literature.
